You may use a bottle of water for an hour or so, but the plastic it’s made of could be around for five hundred or more years. While some cities are using recycled plastic to make cool stuff, a National Geographic report showed that a staggering 91 percent of plastic is not recycled. This means countless bottles and other plastic materials do not make it into the recycling system. But more and more plastic is being recycled every day.
