The Trevor Project is building a safer, more-inclusive world. Acceptance from at least one adult can decrease the risk of LGBTQ+ youth attempting suicide by 40%. You can help them save lives through this virtual volunteer opportunity. As a crisis support volunteer you will be on the front lines, working one on one with LGBTQ+ young people to help them navigate tough times.
Crisis counselors are trained to answer calls, chats, or texts from LGBTQ young people who reach out on our free, confidential and secure 24/7 service when they are struggling with issues such as coming out, LGBTQ identity, depression, and suicide. Over the past year, volunteers helped The Trevor Project answer over 200,000 calls, chats, and texts.
👉 Channel passion into protocol, and consider giving some of your time to help those who are in crisis. For more details on this robust volunteer-from-home opportunity: https://www.thetrevorproject.org/volunteer/
