Above are some of the faces of human trafficking. It's a global problem, and you might be surprised to learn that it could be happening in your backyard. Mississippi, Nevada, Missouri, Nebraska, and California are the top five states with the highest human trafficking case counts.* While most think that women and girls are the main victims, the share of boys involved has increased five times in just the last 15 years.

It's a tragic practice that provides $150 BILLION to traffickers around the globe every year. With simple steps, all of us can look, observe, and perhaps even save a life.

👀 Be observant - know the signs of a person who is being trafficked: the person is living with their employer; poor living conditions with multiple people living in very cramped conditions; inability to speak alone; under 18 and in prostitution; signs of physical abuse, fearfullness and/or submissive

WHAT TO DO IF YOU THINK SOMEONE IS BEING TRAFFICKED 👉 Don't second guess yourself. Call the National Human Trafficking Hotline, a national 24-hour, toll-free, multilingual anti-trafficking hotline. Call 1-888-373-7888 to report a tip. (For world-wide reporting, find the appropriate office at https://itsapenalty.org/makeareport/)
