It's Domestic Violence Awareness Month. 💜 Over 1 in 3 women (35.6%) and 1 in 4 men (28.5%) in the US have experienced rape, physical violence, and/or stalking by an intimate partner in their lifetime.
Many don't leave these relationships because of fear and shame. They may even suffer from a lack of resources that allow them to escape. Disabilities and immigration status can also force a victim to feel as if they need to put up with being mistreated. These are only a few of the many reasons people struggle to get away from this abuse.
👉 Let's join together to take a stand against domestic violence. Take the pledge: https://www.whiteribbonusa.org/whiteribbon-va-pledge
