The US Forest Service is finalizing the first-ever national policy to steward and conserve our old-growth forests. But this historic proposal doesn’t go far enough. It still allows for numerous exceptions of commercial logging of old-growth forests and does nothing to protect mature forests, the old-growth of the future, from logging.
