The average adult spends close to 11 hours looking at a screen per day and checks their phone every 10 minutes. Most typical screen use would be categorized as beneficial or at least benign. Still, just as we can eat too much of a healthy food, we can use screen time so much that the cons start to outweigh the pros. Sleep deprivation, lack of physical exercise, and psychological problems can occur from too much.
