As the weather cools, many of us are pulling out our warm coats and gear for the winter season. The reality is that not everyone has the ability to stay warm. In 2024, more Americans (about 37.9 MILLION) are living in poverty, according to the Debt organization. Shelters and food pantries are seeing high rates of requests for winter gear.
