A Company That Helps: Lush Cosmetics
Note: ThatHelps is not paid or asked to feature any products or brands on our website. We just like to spotlight the good work being done by individuals, our cause partners, and Companies That Help.
Lush Cosmetics is not just known for the bath bombs and soaps, they also fight hard for animals. This company is just one business who gives back, offering multiple opportunities to help animal rights and the environment, from their products to putting their money where their mouth is.
- Lush Prize. The company-sponsored prize is given to people who are working to put a stop to animal testing, specifically around toxicology research and alternatives to animal testing. Since there are no requirements for testing on animals in many countries, it’s vital to reward businesses and startups who don’t test on animals.
- Shark Fin Soap. Lush released this limited edition soap to celebrate World Ocean Day and create awareness for the 100 million sharks killed every year. All proceeds from the soap’s sales will help the production of SHARKWATER: EXTINCTION, a new documentary by shark conservationist Rob Stewart and his shark conservation.
- Naked Campaign. One third of the Naked line of products have no packaging. Not only do they contain less water, they’re also made without any artificial preservatives. But the most important thing: zero waste! Because we can all be more mindful of our trash consumption, including using less plastic.
