5-Second Help: Protect The Arctic Refuge
Got five seconds to help protect the Arctic Refuge? Fill out our certified partner the National Audubon Society‘s short form and they’ll connect you with your U.S. Senator via phone.
When you’re connected, tell the Senate staffer who answers your name and where you live, and that you are calling to ask the senator to protect the Arctic National Wildlife Refuge by keeping it out of the budget.

Why it helps: the Arctic National Wildlife Refuge is one of the most prolific bird nurseries on Earth. Every year, birds migrate through fifty American states and six continents to raise their chicks in its pristine habitat. The biological heart of the Refuge — and vital nesting ground for Tundra Swans, Northern Pintails, American Golden-Plovers and more — is a 1.5-million-acre region between the Arctic Ocean and the mountains, known as the coastal plain. The President’s just-released budget calls for opening up the Arctic National Wildlife Refuge to oil drilling, and Congress could soon follow suit.
