Meet The Next Generation Of Activist Filmmakers Already Making A Difference
Attention, aspiring Steven Spielbergs and Tim Burtons! You need to know about our cause partner the Céline Cousteau Film Fellowship, an academic program that empowers young filmmakers to educate and inspire others. Every summer, a team of undergrad or grad students is chosen to create a documentary with the goal of creating awareness on a particular issue. Each student is paired with a distinguished mentor to face the wide range of challenges during the process.
Catch a glimpse of the Fellowship through one fellow’s camera:

Definitely watch their 2016 film “Poverty of Perception” about the San people of Southern Africa, who fight for their cultural existence, land rights and the freedom to return home after government displacement:
The CCFF is currently filming the 2017 Fellowship on Easter Island and we can’t wait to see the results.
You can keep tabs on all of the CCFF’s upcoming opportunities and actions on ThatHelps’ app. (Find them under the “Conservation” Interest category!)
