Besides trailblazing a jaw-dropping path at the Rio Olympics, the golden queen of gymnastics Simone Biles cleared up a big misconception about adoption this week, and per usual, she did it with grace, style, and power. 

After an NBC reporter mistakenly identified her adopted parents as her grandparents, Biles responded with this simple statement: “My parents are my parents and that’s it.” 

We love that Biles turned a misconception on its head with a simple, heart-filled statement, and how she used her considerable spotlight to educate more than a few people.
